Charges Policy
Trends in Computer Science and Information Technology (TCSIT) operates under a gold open-access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to researchers, professionals, and the general public worldwide. To sustain high-quality editorial processes, indexing, peer review, and long-term digital preservation, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to accepted manuscripts.
▪ Article Processing Charge (APC)
The APC for publishing in TCSIT is 1849 USD per accepted article. This charge applies only to manuscripts that successfully pass the rigorous peer-review and editorial assessment processes.
The APC covers:
- Comprehensive Peer Review: The cost of assigning expert reviewers and conducting a thorough assessment.
- Editorial & Production Costs: Formatting, layout design, proofreading, and final publication of the article.
- Long-Term Digital Preservation: Ensuring permanent accessibility through trusted archiving platforms such as Portico and CNKI.
- DOI Registration & Indexing: Assigning a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and submitting metadata to global databases.
- Open-Access Hosting: Providing unrestricted global access without paywalls or subscription fees.
- Language and Technical Support: Editorial support for ensuring high language and technical standards.
▪ Payment & Invoicing
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, the corresponding author will receive an invoice for the APC of 1849 USD. Payment must be completed before the final article is published.
We accept multiple payment methods, including:
- Bank Transfers: Secure transactions through recognized financial institutions.
- Credit/Debit Cards: Online payments via secure payment gateways.
- PayPal & Digital Wallets: Convenient online payment options.
Detailed payment instructions will be provided upon acceptance of the manuscript.
▪ No Submission or Review Fees
Unlike many journals, TCSIT does not charge any fees for manuscript submission or peer review. The APC is only applicable upon final acceptance, ensuring that all researchers, regardless of financial background, can submit their work for evaluation.
▪ Refund & Cancellation Policy
Once an APC payment has been processed, it is generally non-refundable. Refunds will only be considered in exceptional cases, such as:
- Editorial Withdrawal: If the journal must retract an article due to an internal issue.
- Processing Errors: If payment was charged incorrectly due to administrative errors.
Refunds will not be provided for voluntary withdrawals initiated by authors after the manuscript has been accepted and processed.
▪ Institutional & Bulk Discounts
TCSIT partners with universities, research institutions, and funding agencies to offer institutional publication packages. Discounts may be available for:
- Institutions Submitting Multiple Papers: Special rates for bulk submissions.
- Funded Research Projects: Flexible pricing for grant-funded publications.
- Collaborative Studies: Discounted APCs for multi-author international projects.
Institutions or research groups interested in bulk publication arrangements can inquire about discount programs.
▪ Conclusion
At TCSIT, we believe in a transparent and fair pricing model that supports high-quality academic publishing while ensuring global accessibility. Our APC helps sustain a rigorous peer-review process, professional editorial services, and long-term preservation, allowing authors to maximize the visibility and impact of their research.
